Kyle Porter

COMPANY:  SalesLoft

AGE: 30

LOOKING FOR:  Customer awareness and partnership opportunities

Start-up mentor, angel investor, and co-creator of B2BCamp are only a few titles that describe Kyle Porter. Four months out of college, he “escaped the career path of investment banking” and discovered his passion for emerging technology.” He took up work with a boutique recruiting and professional services company where he developed his sales skills and more importantly, reaped the benefits of its entrepreneurial-minded environment. There, he gained insight on and relationships with angel investors, serial entrepreneurs, inventors, venture capitalists, and the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) incubator at Georgia Tech. After being immersed in the entrepreneurial environment for four years, Porter founded his first company in 2009, Sports Bar Digital, a business deploying digital gaming machines and placebased advertising to over 45 sports bars, pubs & restaurants throughout Georgia and Florida.

In 2011, Porter founded his second venture, SalesLoft. The company improves business revenue by providing sales professionals with the most comprehensive stream of news, information, and alerts on the companies and people they care about. The summer of 2012, SalesLoft participated in the highly touted TechStars program, allowing Porter to forge powerful relationships in one summer that would normally “take 2-3 years to develop.” Now armed with incredible resources, he is ready to capitalize. Porter is driven by what he calls “Servant Leadership,” a term defined by “helping others accomplish their dreams through entrepreneurship and breaking down barriers to bring easy technology solutions to people around the world.”

He intends to join the ranks of servant leaders and technological icons. With his current business ventures off to a great start, he is well on his way to becoming a household name.
